Drew That is a lovely answer you have given, and it is a joy to hear that you have been God's instrument in leading three boys to Christian faith. I also used to work with boys - camps, Crusaders, Boys Brigade - and although I found many of them very attractive, I never approached any of them in a sexual way. I like to think that I helped many of them to a better life style than they would have had without my influence. Sadly, I can no longer work with children, and I am ever so much more conscious of the problems that can occur. But providing there is a hedge built around our sexual desires which does not include the boy, then I am certain the love we feel for them can only do them good. I also have worried about getting hard around boys. Strangely I have even got hard when I have heard testimonies of boys being converted - and that I found very difficult. I think that part of us reacts to emotions and doesn't necessarily mean we want to go out and abuse someone. Or am I being odd? Bill |
