| I have to agree with drifter. You definitely do not need to abandon the boy. And you DEFINITELY need to get back into church and a relationship with God. If you feel as if you may do something inappropriate, then try to do things with him that also involve other people or crowds. The movies or something like that is always a good choice. I also have an 11 year old boy that I mentor and I get erections being near him all the time. I think part of the reason is because I feel that I can relate to boys best and they always seem to give unconditional love. Even though I know that these feelings towards him are not what God intended, I also still beleive that these feelings have helped me to lead other boys to Christ. Because of my attraction to boys, mostly ages 7-14, I have had the opportunity through one of the outreaches at my church to lead 3 other boys to Christ. Here is another reason. The other day i asked my 11 year old boy (his father has nothing to do with him) who his daddy was or is, at first he pointed to heaven. I said "your daddy is dead?", he said "no, God is my father" then I said "I mean Who is your daddy on earth?" this little boy that I have been mentoring for only about 10 months pointed at me. You can't buy a memory like that for all the money in the world or all the erections either. One other thing consider yourself lucky that you have found out about your attraction to boys at a young age. For years I went around thinking that I was gay, I even tried to live the lifestyle for a while but it just didn't click. I am now 37 and have just come to realize that I am a bl. Also don't think of yourself as a sickretardedperv. We all (meaning Christians) have our crosses to bear. And even though your cross seems heavier than some your friends may be toting you can still use your burden to help someone else. Love in Christ, drew |
