The reason I ask is because I used to believe the same as you, until I observed such a relationship with my own eyes. Its not the same to think about things theoretically, using fictional people as an example, as it is to observe an actual relationship, using friends you are very close to as an example. Seeing the dynamics of such a relationship, and the level of joy that the partners brought to each other, the level of trust they had, etc. really changed my perspective. |
