Dakota, I saw much of it too, and I know the kid you're talking about. Did you hear that interview he gave at the end of the game? He talks at least twice his age and is very certain about his words.

My favorite team this year was Texas. Something about their main pitcher had me hooked -- the way his attitude was throughout the game. He made some wonderful plays as a pitcher, center-fielder, and hitter -- and the whole time he didn't act like he was anyone special. Seemed like a very nice person to know. His dad seemed cool, as did many of the other kids. And when they finally lost, I didn't see one tear. Most of them were smiling, and they all looked like they appreciated the whole experience nonetheless.

I understand your comments about Brent Musberger... I'm always tempted to say things like that, and I actually feel more comfortable about saying those things around people who know me than when I'm around strangers. People are too quick to get paranoid when a man calls a boy "cute" or something like that. What's wrong with it if it's true? And "cute" can cover so many things -- looks, mannerisms, personality, way he acts, way he talks, the things he says, etc. Also, it seems to be more acceptable if you say, "Cute kid," instead of "He's cute," or "Cute boy." We don't need the added suspicion of being a BL when we are in fact one. :)
