How can you even consider the Bible, which gives everyone the key to salvation, and the right to obtain it, might be "simply a book that tells us about those events and gives insight into their meaning"?

I think that we have come to a wall that we cannot overcome. The God that I beleive in, my Father in heaven, wants me to prosper, (III John 2), wants me to be healed by the stripes Jesus bore for you and I,(I Peter 2:24),wants to supply all my need according to His riches in glory(Philippians 4:19), wants me to know that I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me (Philippians 4:13). He loves me as a Father loves his son and wants nothing but the best for me. All I have to do is have the faith to receive it. Quite a few people like to put God in a box, but He is the same miracle working, powerful, gracious, and merciful God that He has been since He created the earth. The burden falls on me to obtain, by faith, all the goodness that He has stored up for me. I'm sure you have read many scripture about faith in the NT. It was the faith of the individual that made them whole. I have tried to express to you the power and importance of the inspired word of God but you choose to look at it as possibly just another book.

Matthew 10:14 And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.
Love in Christ,
drew
