It may not be the solution for everyone, but something that helps me when I really get down is pickin my sorry but up and going to church. Not just any church, but a full gospel charismatic church. There, you can receive love from people who will tell you to your face that they care not what you have done or what you are. The fact that you are there is enough for them to show you love. There are even people there that I have no doubt would still treat me with the same love, even if I told them of my true feelings. The church I went to before I moved was a very LARGE televised one, and it even had a group of reformed homosexuals and homosexuals that wanted to reform. Although I'm not homosexual, I thought about joining just to have friends who went through a similar day by day trial like I do. And I know that that is always an option if things ever get to be too much for me to handle. |
