Hi Jake,

You know, I doubt if there has been a B.L. on this whole planet that has not been watching those court proceedings, and likewise, I doubt if any of us can even begin to swallow the huge pill of injustice done in the name of...well,..Justice. I think I was just about ready to pitch something through the t.v. screen when they disclosed the guilty verdict and that poor boy started to cry. Justice was most definately NOT served in one of our nation's beloved courtrooms that day!

Jake, that man is not a Boylover. He did not, in any way, shape or form, love those boys! No my friend, he is absolutely not one of us. Nor will he ever be unless he first brings God into the sad, sad picture of his life. Unfortunately, we all got to see yet another example of what happens when God is absent. In fact, it was (sadly) an excellent example of God being absent both in the lives of people, and also in our Judicial system. Justice was not served because God was not present in that court room in the hearts of those who needed to have Him there the most: the Judge, Jurors, Prosecuting Attorney, and most of all, the man who abused two beautiful boys! If you found yourself wondering how anyone could just sit there smugly, like he did (with a nasty little smirk on his face that made one feel like...well, let's just say my next words would be quite un-Christian!), and watch as the two boys he professed to love so much were dealt with so badly.....well, don't feel alone.

I guess, lest we forget we really do live in an upside down, fallen excuse of a world, we get to see things like this going on around us. And it hurts, too! It makes us feel like asking God, "O.K., so why did THIS have to happen? Lord, is there no justice in this world at all?" Well, I think that if you listen to that still, quiet voice in your head, He will probably tell you what He told me..."No,(Chris), there isn't! But there is plenty of justice in Me, if only people would quit trying to kick me out of thier homes, schools, businesses, and courtrooms."

We are strangers in a VERY strange land, Jake! But thank God that we DO have one another. Oh yes, and we have prayer as well. Believe me, we can probably do more to help those boys (AND the man who abused them) by prayer than by anything else. When His children talk to him, God listens!

God Bless, brother. It's good to "talk" with you again.

Love in Christ Jesus,
Chris
