| it's very easy to drift into a situation where your YF starts to scrounge off you; looking back the trick is to try and draw some clear boundaries and stick to them - once you've passed one like 'I will never give him money' - it's really hard to say 'No' the next time. The reality is that our YFs are usually more important to us than we are to them - and that puts us in a position of weakness that they are likely to try and exploit if there is any selfishness in their hearts - which is a good working definition of being human... |
