I am 22, and I have to say that Tupac is not dead! Haha, just kidding (or am I?). Seriously, I agree with what you say very much. It seems like the gospels spend a lot of time trying to explain this idea of being saved by faith, but still trying to follow the spirit of the Law. I do notice that God kinda pushes me back into place when I get off track. Occasionally, I get so lost in it that he has to give me more of a kick than a nudge. :^) Still, the fact of who I am and who's side I am on is always with me. I like to think of it as a big battle. When we get saved, we are joining God's side. We may be crappy soldiers, but we will still go home with the victorious side after the battle has been won. Of course, we would want to be good and try to please our Leader. Still, there is no way the other side can grab us and make us one of them once we have chosen to sign the document sealed by the blood of Christ. Cool. I think that's what a Christian is. More than conquerers, even if we often seem like less than minute men (and please don't bring Missy Elliot into this). Love to all, hopes |
