Disappointing

I was disappointed by "signs". "The Six Sense" didn't blow me away, but still had a surprising, well made ending. "Unbreakable" was without doubt better and again, the ending was a big surprise. What was left in "signs"? Nothing! Especially the ending sucked! All aliens gone all of a sudden? They suddenly changed their minds? And why did it come to an invasion at all? Don't we humans have enough military force to strike back? Even if they were advanced, we would defend ourselves, but we didn't see any fighting in the news (or did I forget about that?). And yes, Drifter is right when he is objecting to the fact that the aliens wouldn't choose a planet full of water if they get hurt by it.
