Signs

Sorry if this was discussed previously back when the movie first came out, but I was curious if anyone had any thoughts about M. Night Shyamalan's Signs. I personally found it very moving and inspiring, the ending perhaps aptly summarized: And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28 I identified a lot with Graham’s crisis of faith, having myself at times uttered “I hate you” to God whom I loved and yet whom I felt had tragically betrayed me. And despite my faithlessness, been the recipient of His mercy and grace. It’s so easy sometimes to place myself in the category of people who simply believe in luck, but how many times must God show me a sign or miracle before I stop wandering like away from the Good Shepherd? In Christ, J P.S. – While no Haley Joel Osment, I thought Rory Culkin did a mighty fine job playing Morgan. What can I say, I’m a sucker for a cute boy… :-) Anybody know of other movies that Rory has been in? Come away, O human child, to the waters of the wild, with a fairy hand in hand, for the world’s more full of weeping than you can understand. A.I. |
