Interesting events last night

Two really worth mentioning. The first was a tall 13yo boy, slim build, fluffed up blondish hair, wearing a red top, with a swimming team name on the front, blue jeans & grey socks within his sandles. He was an innocent looking kid & was leaning on the shoulders of his Grandfather. To describe his build, I would say that it was just after his growth spurt, where the rest of the body has to catch up with him. Needless to say that I would've loved to have seen him in action (swimming) & despite not being able to swim myself, would've been more than happy to interact with him in a bit of horseplay, so to speak. A gang of 12-13yo's had been in & out of the venue, causing no trouble at all, whilst describing things happening where they lived, common teenage banter. Well later that evening, a staff member from another department was being tagged or followed around by a small 11yo kid. An older boy had said to him to stick with him everywhere he goes. The staff member, not known to me by name, but by face only, said to me "Didn't you say that you'd be happy to talk to him (the kid), for the next two hours?" I nodded my head quickly. Then said to the guy "That should give you enough time to make a get-away." Both of them saw the funny side of the situation & we parted company. Unfortunately, the boy stood his ground with the guy & continued to follow him around, but it was all innocent fun. CUSoon - Halo |
