God tells us in Psalms 37:4 "Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart." I take this to mean that whatever the desires of our hearts may be, as long as our hearts and motives are pure, He will open the doors for us. But we cannot use this as an excuse to sin. If we allow it to become lust instead of love we have gone into the desires of the flesh not the heart. Romans 8:8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
