That gay christians (those who live both a gay and a christian lifestyle) do live perfectly happy. I wish it werent the case, because it would be easier to deal with my one remaining gay christian friend who chooses to see the truth (that sex outside of marriage is not ok). It would be much easier if I could tell him that living a gay lifestyle would not make him happy. But it will. All my other gay friends who gave up on celibacy and chose a gay christian lifestyle were much happier afterwards. They resolved those things that had tortured their existance and in so doing were able to find a happiness that they were unable to find before (living a celibate lifestyle). In fact, more than one of them went from clinically depressed (taking Paxil and other such medications) when they were celibate, to perfectly content when they gave up on celibacy. I wish this werent the truth, but it is. The fact is that our feelings can lie to us. If you truly believe that what you are doing is not wrong, then you will not feel bad about it, even if its sinful in God's eyes. I wish what you said was true, it would make life a lot easier. But it simply isnt true. We can be happy and be living a sinful lifestyle if we convince ourselves that we are not doing wrong, that is how the human mind works. That is why we must rely on the word of God to tell us what is right and wrong, and not on feelings. Feelings can lie to us, God cant.

love in Christ Jesus,
Drifter
