Where is the line between admiration and lust?

Sometimes the line is very clear cut, if I begin to think sexual thoughts, or if I begin mentally undressing a person, then obviously I crossed the line from simply admiring beauty to lust. But sometimes it isnt so clear cut to me, sometimes I look at a boy and I dont think anything sexual, but I cannot escape his beauty and I admire the way he looks. Is that lust? How do we know when we have crossed the line into lust? is admiring a boy's beauty lust even if we arent having any sexual thoughts about it? My preliminary opinion is that unless there are sexual thoughts involved, then it isnt lust. But from reading things others have posted it appears that others have a different standard, so I wonder what your standards are.
