I base my measurement on the definition of sin. Sin is something that brings us away from God. When admiration of a boy becomes so intense that it draws you away from your walk with God, or it tempts you to think unclean thoughts, it is too far.

I do the same with women. I can see a girl my age that just takes my breath away. Nothing sexual passes through my mind, but she is completely occupying it.
