I can surely understand what you mean. Although my yf sleeps in the guest room, which actually we call his room since he is the one that sleeps in it the most. I stay with him until he falls asleep then I go to my bed. The peace and innocence on his face while he sleeps is captivating. When morning comes he comes to my room and wakes me, then we lie there together and talk about the things that we are going to do that day. I have been thinking lately about how heartbreaking it is going to be to me when he grows up and some girl breaks his heart and how that innocence and childlike love will vanish. Because I love him so much and I know the pain of heartbreak I wish there was some way to keep him from having to experience it. But, that is an unrealistic goal. Love in Christ, drew |
