I mean it does not make sense to say homosexuality is always wrong. Why would it make sense?

When I say I'm "addicted" to not doing something, I don't mean it literally, but I mean even though I have a gut feeling the conservative elements of the church are wrong, I still don't have the guts to go out and find a boyfriend. I don't trust the "gay community" more than I trust the church community, even though I have misgivings about what the church says about homosexuality. I can't quite get myself to exit from the evangelical surroundings I'm (historically) so comfortable with, that's what I mean by "addicted".

As to "thinking", admittedly I'm being a touch on the arrogant side here, but my observation is that those who say "the Bible obviously says homosexuality is wrong" have not thought the issue through in full length from end to end, including matching that view with the broad sweep of the Gospel and God's interactions with us as revealed in the Bible and accounting for the full ramifications of exactly what it is that Jesus has achieved for us.

What I mean is, Jesus gave us the bottom line of the Gospel when he said all the law can be summed up in this: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and all your soul and all your mind; and love your neighbour as yourself." I'm yet to hear a coherent explanation of how homosexual relations in general violate those two fundamental principles.
