Tough Love

Hi Halo, Looks like you are going through another tough time. With Gods help you will be able to help the boys. However, you need to help yourself first. You need the confidence to say no to someone who is just using you. It will be better for the both of you in the long run. It's called tough love. I had to kick a friend out of my house because he didn't respect me and took advantage of my kindness. It broke my heart, I gave him chance after chance after chance and them some more before the tough love approach. I though I could reach him and help him if he stayed with me but the lure of my money was to tempting to him. After a few weeks he started to talk to me again and after a few years he thanked me for kicking him out of the house. He said it was the best thing I ever did for him. He got his act together quick after that. You can help El more by not giving into him. I know you already know this and are trying to find the strenght to help him and yourself. Trust in God and the answers will fall into place. The trick is to listen to the answers and follow what God puts into your heart. If you hear "give El some money and you will be able to help him" and El puts that money into a machine then you know you are not helping him. You are not helping yourself either. It is tough to say no but you have to do it. Be sure to explain why you are saying no. Then go home and have a good cry. Try not to get mad at God, you passed the test. Good luck. |
