2a is inaccurate. Not all of us lose interest as a boy grows up. I am not attracted to adults, but if the adult is a boy I grew up loving, then the love doesnt vanish. Its the person that I fall in love with, I dont fall in love with they way they look. I fall in love with individuals, not with their bodies. As they grow, and their bodies change, I may not be as physically attracted to them, but its the individual I love, its still him, its still my boy, just older.
