We are children to God. We are ignorant of the spiritual world as children are of the real world. However, because we should strive to be like a child, in innocence, and love, that does not mean that we ignore the fact that children need protection and boundaries. The same way we need protection and boundaries provided by God. When God told Abraham to kill Isaac, Abraham did not question if it was immoral or not, GOD was telling Him, and God defines morality, therefore it HAD to be the right thing to do. When an adult that a child trusts leads that child to do something, that child believes that what they are doing is right. As the Bible says, it would be better for a Millstone to be tied around their neck, and cast into the river than to cause a little one to sin. Now don't go getting all literal on me, but this does seem to be pushing a point. God Bless, RF |
