I've been known to get a bit emotional and throw a few barbs, but I try to refrain from being hateful. But that doesn't mean I haven't been accused of doing just that a few times. The interesting thing is that often when a different view is expressed, the person with the view that is opposed throws out the accusations of being judgmental, or hatemongering, or gaybashing, or pedobashing, or whatever. It kind of like using the race card in the OJ trial. Maybe we should call it using the bashing card. Or using the judging card. The interesting thing is that although there are definite warnings against judging others in the Bible, the Bible also contains numerous passages that tell us we MUST judge. When anyone says that Dahmer was a monster, or even just wrong, they are judging him. So I must assume there is good judging and bad judging. So our task is to distinguish between the two. But I don't have the energy to get into it too deeply right now.
