There are many of us out there that suffer with these desires. I'm sure glad you didn't say all of us suffer with these desires, I sure don't suffer with them, they are a fundamental part of who I am and they cause me no concern or grief outside of how society treats me. A simple change of perspective would relieve your suffering... but there is certainly something to be said about playing the martyr.
