I commend you for trying to get back control of your life and this situation. I know it can't be easy and that you are going to miss them. I will be praying that you have the strength to follow thru with what you started and that God will keep you close. If you stay as close to God as you can thru this difficult time, it will help a lot. I won't say it will make it easy, but it will help. When I go thru hard times, I try to read the Bible more, spend more time at church, and pray more, even if it's just conversationally talking to God as I go thru my day. Hang in there.
