...though getting used to being called names and building up a tolerance for it certainly doesn't make it okay and once again, I sincerely apologize for having done so. Thanks for clarifying that you never implied what I thought you had. I get in debates online all the time. What a coincidence, so do I... :-) It is simply a style I utilize in debate, where I illustrate an extreme example to help push my point. Basically, what I am doing is following a train of logic to its extremem end. When there is a logical link between the two actions or positions you are comparing that is a perfectly acceptable 'style' to utilize, however, when there are no logical links (as I would characterize your comment about Dahmer) it is a logical fallacy known as slippery slope. But enough about all that - on to the really important things... :-) Now as for Colin, I assume that was the boy with the camera... You are correct, Colin is the boy with the camera. I thought [he] was cute, all 5 minutes of his screentime. He does have that "dweeb" look about him. They do seem to be trying to convey that particular look in Colin but I actually think Harry has it a lot more... especially when he's trying to fight the Basilisk with that sword - absolutely pitiful, in my opinion! In Christ, J Come away, O human child, to the waters of the wild, with a fairy hand in hand, for the world’s more full of weeping than you can understand. |
