Well said. There is plenty of sexual degeneracy in the Old Testament, which indicates that there has always been sexual sin. Throughout history the extent of sexual sin in society is a reflection of the health of that society (decline of Greek & Roman societies was primarily through moral decay). Jesus preached repentance for our benefit and demonstrated its meaning by relating personally with Mary Magdalene (a prostitute) and with the Samaritan women who was living with a man and had already had many husbands. He offered something better than their sexual degeneracy. New Testament prophecies foretell a time when extreme sexual degeneracy will again be prevalent as it was before the flood and also as it was during the time of Sodom & Gomorrah. Jesus asks for repentance and offers forgiveness and a new life - it is our challenge everyday. May God help us to be strong and follow His ways. |
