Hi TBL,

Indeed God does exist. I used to get into a lot of long, heated arguments with my brother about U.F.O.'s, aliens, and the possibility of life on other planets. He could never seem to understand my point of view, so I quit arguing with him about it after a while.

My stand has always been this: Regardless of whether or not there is other life somewhere else in the universe, there is only one God, and He is creator of all there is. Regardless of what He may, or may not have done anywhere else in the vast reaches of space, He did something on THIS planet that is remarkable in it's design and purpose; beautiful almost beyond any attempt to describe it in words.

We humans are so blind when it comes to what and who we are. We read about how God created us and then think, "Oh, how neat.". It never occurs to us just how amazing it is that we are here. We are created in God's image, and yet we are all unique and different. Unlike any other form of life on our planet, we are aware of life and death. We have the abulity to communicate with one another in many differant ways. We have the ability to think, reason, and to teach others the things we know. We have also been given the gift of choice....we can choose every action that we make.

The greatest gift we have, the most wonderful gift of all, is one that so often gets overlooked. We have been given the gift of love, through an act of the very greatest love, from the very author of love Himself. So, you know, whenever I am asked about my oppinion about the possability of life on other planets, I like to ask, "Why is it important to know? Don't we have enough right here with what God has given us?" I guess it's hard to think about things beyond this world, when there is so much to do right here. I turn on the television and all I see is acts of hatred and people starving. Its really becoming difficult to look at starving children and think of anything other than the incredible needs that could be filled, but are not. When are we going to quit looking away from our problems and start choosing to use the gift of love that we have been given?

God Bless
With Love in Christ Jesus,
Chris
