Beauty with a purpose

I have seen it argued somewhere from an evolutionary point of view that boy's beauty serves a purpose, but the same thing can be seen as God's wisdom in designing creation. If boys were just little men, they would be seen by older men as competion for women, jobs, and food. Our human selfishness would likely encourage us to just kill them. Of course, in civilized society, we have much more subtle ways to debilitate our enemy. By making boys beautiful and even sexually attractive to many men (probably many more men than will admit it), God has ensured that those boys will be cared for, nurtured, and mentored by the men that they need to learn from.
