Thank you for your thoughts. These are all interesting points. I too work around computers a lot. I realize that random question marks could be put in. These particular question marks, however, were put in because it was the end of a question. "What are you doing?" It wasn't put in at a break or a point of confusion, it was put in because it was grammatically needed. So far as I know, no program does this inflexion-based punctuation. Of course if I'm wrong I'd be happy to be corrected.
