Hi I havent posted for ages and since I did, I have paid a visit to a UK place of christian healing. Although partly to overcome my attraction towards boys, it was also to deal with other issues in my life history - like low self-esteem and strong feelings of loss. I suspect that part of my feelings for young boys has been because of these two problems. Anyway, I was duely prayed for and received a "touch from the Lord". My life has been vastly different since then (which I have to admit was only last Wednesday) and I havent indulged in a sexual thought about boys since then - a record for me recently. Now I am not claiming to be healed per se - all I know is that God has lifted me out of decades of bondage to put-down words from when I was a boy myself, of an emotional immaturity, and a desire to be with boys. Only time will tell. I think that we are all different and it is stupid trying to say that one rule or even cause applies to us all. Anfd yes,forgiven, I guess there is a greater imperative to those of us who are married (and presumably basically hetero) to be rid of boy attraction than there is on those who are not. And maybe for us the boy-love is an add-on not something we were born with. Well all I can say, is praise God for the freedom he brings in Christ Jesus. If the Son sets you free, then you will be free indeed. And that is what I ended up preaching on this morning. Bill |
