As you can see God of The Old Testament didn’t want to understand sexual perverts and predators either. He destroyed the city of Sodom with a vengeance! I guess your God has a “hate-filled pathology” too. Don’t quit your day job, Ron, your ‘exegesis’ of Genesis 18-19 leaves a lot to be desired. Ranting homilies in which apathetic labeling takes center stage are hardly convincing. As far as ‘sexual perverts’ go it would seem God actually saved three of the finest examples from Sodom. Lot thought nothing of tossing out his two virgin daughters to be raped by the men of Sodom (see Genesis 19:8) and those two young women got their father drunk and slept with him in a mountain cave in order to get pregnant (see Genesis 19:30-38). And how are you, J? I’m doing just fine – and you? …as I said, “pedophiles give me the creeps.” Take two aspirin and go to bed, you should be fine in the morning. I read your dissections of mine and felt the chilling hand of admonishment on my shoulder. Perhaps it was just the wind… An apostolic rebuke of my sins while waiting in vain for the warm hand of Christian love and forgiveness to descend upon these shoulders you’ve so chilled. Sorry, I haven’t seen the risen Lord and I don’t go around working miracles, so I lay no claim to apostolic authority. As for forgiveness, it descends the moment you repent and ask for it. In the end, it’s not my forgiveness you need, it’s God’s – I can forgive your ignorant hatred of me but I cannot forgive your sins. It’s hard to love somebody who hates me so viciously, I guess it’s something I have to work on as I continue to follow my Lord and Savior (see Matthew 5:43-48). I’m not particularly surprised you failed to respond to 95% of my post – you fail to acknowledge that I care and took the time to remember those like Jeffrey Curley, you fail to acknowledge the traits you have in common with those who lack empathy, you fail to provide any objective standard of right and wrong that I should even consider your sweeping moral judgment of me, you fail to address your self-contradictory statements regarding being open to the facts and you fail to provide a shred of evidence that you have any desire to or are even capable of having a courteous and reasoned discussion.
