Well, for me, when I have come close to suicide, it has not been because I was too weak to handle life. Actually, this was very confusing to me for a while because there is a verse in the Bible that says no man hates himself. Over time, God gave me a greater understanding of this verse. Even though I thought (and in some ways still think) that the world would be better without someone like me, the final truth at the bottom of that decision was selfish. It's just that my thoughts were so twisted out of wack that it seemed like it would be selfish to keep living. I truly believe that people do have strength to do what is right. If I do ever do that, it will be a bad choice that I could have avoided. As for the other thing about how he could have shown his stuff, well, in general, it's true that it wouldn't be a problem. As Romans says, almost nothing is wrong in and of itself. The thing is, he knew that it was wrong in that situation and that God had given him the strength to stop, so he did.
