Dear Chris, I try like crazy to make sense of crimes I cannot even fathom… Personally I wouldn’t waste my time, there are just some really sick and wicked people in the world and they’re really not worth wasting any energy trying to figure out or psychoanalyze. And all the while, NAMBLA’s name keeps popping up. Tragic in light of the fact NAMBLA doesn’t advocate in any way, shape or form the actions that they are repeatedly linked with. This simply proves how asinine the press and society in general can be. It would be as bad as, say, the Nazi’s coming out and telling everyone that they now love Jews, Blacks and queers, and they are going to try to help them in every way possible, so… “Won’t you please accept us now?” A very poor analogy. NAMBLA has never advocated hatred or genocide, nor have they done any about face in their political agenda – which has always been advocating changes in age of consent laws in order to legalize man/boy sexual relationships. I did not rape anyone, but then again, what is pornography if not rape with a camera? If I am remembering your situation correctly, you were viewing pornography, not making pornography so you didn’t rape anybody with a camera. If you did not solicit or pay for the pornography, you are not guilty of contributing to the original crime at all. I really don’t want to dwell on this controversial subject but putting all the legal issues aside I think you’re probably beating yourself up over nothing on a personal level.
