And in the [prisons] in the U.S. [people] that [commit] this kind of crime will face a few [assaults] of [their] own, if you know what I mean. I know exactly what you mean since I experienced it first hand while serving time in prison, which goes to show it happens in prisons outside the U.S. too. I would ask you not to judge the entire country based on this situation. Where exactly did I pass a judgment on the entire country? My comments were in regards to an injustice within its legal system, an injustice I might add that is far from being an isolated incident. Furthermore, am I not entitled to my personal opinion (good, bad or indifferent) as it regards the U.S. in general? Why take it as a personal affront – it was certainly never intended as such. If I were an American, you wouldn’t be talking to me right now, as I would still be rotting away in some prison suffering assaults, if you know what I mean. So once again, thank God I’m not an American. Thank God there are some countries in the world that place value on mercy and rehabilitation instead of anger and retribution. J Come away, O human child, to the waters of the wild, with a fairy hand in hand, for the world’s more full of weeping than you can understand. |
