J, I agree that the sentance is very extreme. This will follow him for the rest of his life. And in the prsions in the U.S. prison that committ this kind of crime will face a few assults of his own, if you know what I mean. However, I do have a bone to pick with you, or at least a comment you made in your post. "All I can say is thank God I'm not an American..." Ahemmm. I am an American and I am proud to be one. I would ask you not to judge the entire country based on this situation. I have never seen anyone here make a negitive comment about another country before and, in my personal opinion, it is inappropiate for you mention this in a negitive manner.
