you've been hit by a lot - the temptation is to rush to do something that you will later regret. You need space to let your feelings cool: I would rather NEVER SEE B AGAIN than to have you tell his parents. that's not fair on B - if you are important to him, then telling his parents may be the right thing to do. I went through a similar crisis when my pastor decided to tell my YFs' parents; they didn't panic, chose to tell the YFs, and as a result we have had a far more real relationship in the years since. The difference is that they were 16 at the time, so I guess it's not exactly the same(!) - but there is hope. So - thanks for sharing what's happening - and we're all here for you. |
