What ever happened to Agape Love? I read the posts from G and others that have been through similar situations. I chat with Oliver and Andy, I listen to others that are in my church and in my community. I look at the church in general, not just my denomination, and I wonder, what has happened to Agape Love? Yesterday evening I talked to G on the phone for a very long time. His pain was so deep that it was physical, he was so hurt that, despite his best efforts, I could hear his heart being torn in half. While I talked to him I could only think of one thing. What happened to the love? It is discouraging to me that love disappears so quickly. G has spent months with them and in less than one day *POOF* the love is gone. 1st Corinthians chapter 13 is known as the Love chapter. Verses 4 – 8a give the best description what Love is and what Love is not. But in one brief statement it is: “I love you. I always have and I always will, NO MATTER WHAT!” I shames me to be associated with “Christians” that can not follow this simple statement. I agree with Nate. He made some very fine points, as have many of you that have been so supportive of G. Here, at this forum, there is AGAPE LOVE.
