Genghis, Don't give up on them yet. Yes, they are scared. They are afraid of what you could do to B. They are reacting to the shock of it all, but maybe they will still let love win out over their fear. Maybe they will realize that if you were going to molest B, you would have done it a long time ago - you certainly had the opportunity. Maybe their excellent character and loving hearts will eventually overcome the irrational fear of what you could do, what might happen, and they will realize that you really love them, and they love you. But it still hurts. To be abandoned, especially by those who have been commanded by God to love you, is the worst kind of heartache. But God still loves you, and many of us love you - so hang in there! Keep in touch, Nate |
