Hi Genghis, I remember you telling me about certain attractions to girls, but I had forgotten how recent the discovery of your 'boylove side' is. Yes, by all means, in that context it is very worthwhile to look at exploring the 'hetero side' again. Although I would tend to think of it more like expanding what you now feel, rather than switching between one or the other. Don't repress BL feelings, just know that you can probably one day be satisfied with a good sexual relationship with a woman, and therefore not be tempted to act on the BL feelings. And I would think that your pastors could accept that perspective. I hope so, anyway. I tend to share Dakota's feelings that time may well 'normalize' the attitudes of your YF's family. One day God may reveal to them that you are still the same person today that you were before this news was shared with them. Yes, we're being held to a higher standard than other people. Maybe we should feel honored about that? Yes, that's an excellent way to look at our situation. And I didn't mean to dismiss the fears associated with certain BL relationships. I think we have to be accountable for those issues. But I also don't think that we should be expected to confront, confess and announce our temptations before the congregation in a way that is dramatically different from our other brothers in Christ.
