the trouble with your scene is that the daughter actively is telling the audience she believes the actions she's getting involved with to be bad. That's not what I want to say at all. The first scene is basically how things turn out.. just how far the toilet everything has gone. And again, it's to just completely give a sense of distruction.

And there is no child pornography. The actress would be 18 or over and a professional.

One other thing. I didn't write the opening scene. I took it from one of the many stories i've heard from adult survivers of sexual abuse. Her father had completely dominance and control over everyone in the family. What you think is the product of my mind is simply the product of reality. It's my choice to show what reality is, not to make reality easier for people to swallow.

As for Life Is Beautiful, the entire THEME of the movie is the softening of something horrible for the sake of innocence. Your arguement completely has no validity to it. Begnini had his theme he wanted to bring across, and I have mine.
