I gave my thoughts on ex-gays at RDC the last time we slugged it on this subject (see the link below). I think you missed the point of my post, though. People will always disagree on issues like this: if the gays and ex-gays weren't squabbling with each other, some other group would be squabbling with each other. The chances of your being able to convince an ex-gay that he's deluded about his sexuality is about as minimal as him being able to convince you that you're deluded about your sexuality. This being the case, the question remains: How should we treat people whom we think are engaging in destructive (or self-destructive) behavior?

Given how pedophiles are regarded by the world, I think that's a relevant question for us here. The reason I ask is that some of the most virulent, hate-filled language I've heard during the past year has come from (1) recovering offenders talking about boylovers, and (2) boylovers talking about recovering offenders.
