Since there is a need for father figures in your church, consider starting an "adopt-a-kid" or "adopt-a-grandparent" program. It can be emotionally intesive to be a father-surrogate, and it would probably wear you out to be adopted as a "father-figure" my too many kids. By spreading the load (and privilage of being the adoted father figure) around, you will help more kids. If your city has a Big Brothers/Big Sisters program, encourage the parents of those two kids to call and try to get matched, and encourage church members to apply to be Big Brothers and Big Sisters.
