SUGMAD; Gays & God

I was always taught that the closest thing to the (if not the actual) Sacred Name Of God was Yaweh (with various pronounciations and spellings, but all based on the Tetragrammon [or whatever it is called]). Where (historically/Biblicaly) does "SUGMAD" come from and how do you pronounce it (I would assume like it is spelled, SUG as in SUGgest and MAD as in MAD)? Is it an acronym? Thanks. By the way, I don't get hung up on sacred names that much, when I talk to God, He listens, it doesn't matter whether I say "Dear Heavenly Father" or "Yo! Dad!" or dispense with the formalities altogether. However, it is nice to know Biblical history so I know where other people are coming from. >Gays can not or will never know the lords >word! I won't get into the arguement of whether homosexual sex is in accordance with God's will here, but even if it isn't, God still loves you. I've said in some forum (IRC, I think) that I hope to meet Adolf Hitler in Heaven. If God can forgive Hitler, He can forgive me. And if He can forgive me, He can forgive you. [I say 'if' rhetorically - of course He can]. And I for one sin in one way or another on a regular basis (I try not to repeat the same sin twice, but it frequently doesn't work). Face it, you had a personality clash with the leaders of the church you worked at. Listen for God's guidance, he has a place for you somewhere. Follow. -d (david_tx on IRC) |
