Hello Ben, Thanks for your wisdom; it is exactly what I needed to hear, and, no, it wasn't hard for me to accept. I know and believe in my mind what is right and how to persue an appropriate teacher-student relationship. My biggest dilimma is that, often, I think with my heart and not my head. That makes it difficult when I'm in the situation. What I need to learn is how to channel that concern for a child into a motivation to help them learn, rather than feeling like thier "acceptance of me is important" I also liked your desciption of Christ as a teacher. It states very well what I believe about him too. Teaching can be very fulfilling, I agree. I can't wait to reap its rewards. Blessings, Oliver |
