Hi Joe, I'm sorry to hear of the shame and pain you're feeling because of that friend you had when you were a teenager, who wasn't able to perceive that you didn't want any sexual intimacy with him. What happened with your friendship after that incident? Did he keep trying to be a real friend for you, or did he abandon you after he got his gratification? Have you talked with him about it as an adult? How would you feel if he made contact with you today? Feel free to share your pain and anger with us. It will be good for you to express it and good for us to be reminded of the responsibility we have towards boys. I agree it can be easy to take advantage of a boy who trusts you, and we have to learn to answer for our own behaviour, our feelings or desires do not justify causing the sort of pain that you've gone through.
