scott - It would seem that an online bible study should mimic a real life one as closely as possible. Therefore, the spontanaity of IRC seems better suited. Like any bible study, there should be a leader as well so that the discussion stays focused. Forum posts such as this lend themselves to tangential discussions. Another alternative to IRC is online JAVA chats which can be accessed from any browser. On the other hand, IRC programs are far less memory hungry than the web is. Anyone should be able to download mIRC and use it on a 486. You are not alone. Ben |
