Thanks for your comments. I don't think my idea necessarily depends on people changing their belief that pedophilia is a perversion or sickness. It seems to me the idea could be sold to the public by saying that this "disorder" should be treated as any other sickness; namely by establishing an institution to promote research, disseminate information, and provide "treatment", just like we would do for cancer. The idea could also be sold by appealing to people's desire to protect children, which I think this institution would do. Mark |
