Hi QQQ, this is the first I've heard that an original aramaic text is available for Matthew's Gospel. It would make some sense that he wrote in aramaic, but I've never heard of it before. On the contrary, my references (New Bible Dictionary) tell me the Gospel was written for the greek-speaking Jewish-Christian community, thus, written in Greek. So let me know if you can recover your reference, it could be interesting. F.O.D. |
