tks - Thanks for sharing all of this with me (or all of us I guess). I am humbled by the possibility that my journey could somehow impact someone else's faith. I am thankful, beyond any words that I have been able to muster up, for the incredible gift of time, of mind, of family and of love that the twins' father has given to me and continues to give. Some days I just can't understand why he is spending so much time teaching me about faith. He says that seeing changes in me has renewed his own faith in God and Jesus. Sharing faith is one of the most powerful aspects of my church, to the point that some people accuse them of being too evangelical. But the truth is that you cannot hear the message if nobody tells it to you. We have to bear the risk of offending some, so that we can reach some.....or even one. My relationship with the twins is completely platonic, and has provided the extra incentive for me to commit the time to church and the bible, even when it isn't the first thing that I would rather do. The twins are God's way of holding my attention. That God would put so much effort (they are quite a trip :-) into holding my attention is certainly unearned by me. Apparently, his grace is much larger than I could ever hope to grasp. Please share more when you feel like it. And don't ever let anyone tell you that God loves you less than the next person.....certainly God would not have sent his son to die for you if he didn't love you. You are not alone. Ben |
