...that I am here (it took me a month to get on her weekend calendar). My situation is a little different than yours, but I'm still a bit nervous. I need to tell her (and the other pastor, later) so in case someone wants to make trouble (or accidently causes trouble) I have a highly-respected community member who will say "you don't know what you are talking about" and stand up for me. Also, from time to time I'll want to talk/decompress to someone in real life about some of my "trials" and "challenges" in the BL community (I'm in the middle of one now, and the only people who I can talk to now are on the net and are a witness or party to the situation - sometimes you just need to see a face) and I can't do that with someone I don't know and who can't respect confidentiality. If you have any words of wisdom on how to approach this, I'm listening. -d (david_tx on IRC, not in your shoes, but not sure everyone would believe it if they knew I was here, and some people don't like your shoes or anyone standing in them, sigh) |
